day 5, 6 and 7

day 7: generationsday 6: who they love
day 5: love to hate :)
so since I've been in GA, I've not been keeping up with posting on here like I should and hence the reason I'm 3 days behind. But I've caught up and taken time to post 3 new pictures. Day 5 was what we love to hate. I choose playing frisbee with our Boxadore Cutter, because while he gets great joy out of chasing the 5 gallon bucket lid, I don't enjoy the mud that comes along with it. Day 6 was who they love, and as you can see Bella loves her Cutter and I think she would be lost without him. Day 7 is generations. Since I am at my in-laws this week I thought I'd take a picture of some family rings, starting on the left with Nanaw's ring, my father in laws grandmother's ring, in the middle my mother in law's ring and then my ring. <3

day 4: what they wear

Well before we hit the road for Georgia, I thought I'd try to get this picture up. Since Ben got home from officer's training and Iraq, i've seen a lot of his uniform. So here's a picture of his jump boots and red beret, something an army wife sees a lot of. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! :)

day 3: then and now

So I felt like today's topic was a little harder for me to come up with, even though it really shouldn't have been. When you have 3 dogs and a husband you'd think it would be easy! But it put my creativity to work in some sense and also forced me to learn some of Photoshop. But I decided to go with a picture that I had of Cutter when he was a baby and one of him now. He enjoyed getting a treat after sitting for the picture also, so we both won! :)

day 2. how they look...

For me day two seemed a little more tricky in some aspects, but I think I was able to take a few good ones. Our task was to capture how they look, whether that be how they look in the morning when they first get up, a funny face they make or just anything that is specific to that loved one. So I took a few of my loved ones! :) Enjoy!

Photography journey...

Some of you know that I've been trying to start a photography business and while there is still a long ways to go, its beginning to come together. But this month I'm doing a "30 day challenge" so to speak that requires taking a photo each day of something different. So I hope to post these here on my blog and feel free to leave comments. I would love to hear feed back! Also if you're on Facebook check out my Amy Spooner Photography page there. I hope you all are having a wonderful start to your February.

Feb. 1st, first photo: "What they do", we were supposed to take a picture of our loved ones doing something...so here goes nothing!

Waiting...

So now begins my waiting period. Ben called me today about 11:30am to tell me hello and that he was getting ready to pack up the last few things that he was bringing home and head to where ever it is that he has to wait for his flight out. I just wish I could know when he would be here, but such is the life of an army wife! :) I would love for him to be here this weekend but then there is part of me that would like to him not arrive until this next week so that he can stay longer through the holidays. He will be home for 15 days, the longest that he has been home since he left this past March for training. Who would have thought we'd be here way back then!?
I had my last class of the semester today! It felt very good to turn in my last paper and get my study guides back to be able to study for my final. Thankfully my final will replace my other test grades if I do better on this test, so I can't loose! I also worked on Christmas cards tonight, trying to keep myself busy. That way I don' t have time to sit and think about where Ben is and when he will get here. I'll keep you all posted on his arrival!

I'll Be Home for Christmas...

So...I really should be writing one of my final papers for Developmental Psych. right now but as usual I'm procrastinating. The most likely reason for this is that Ben will be home this weekend! I wasn't expecting him to be here so soon but we will take whatever time with him that we can get right now. I was looking at my last blog and saw that it had been in April since I last wrote anything. How time flies and I never would have guessed that we would be were we are today when I wrote that. When Ben finished his training in July, he was home for about a week and then found out that he would be deploying to Iraq. That Monday when he told me was a tough day but I knew that if this was where we were headed God had a reason for it! And even though I still have no clue where we are going with the Army and how long we will be in Chattanooga, I know that God has a plan through all of this. And right now I'm enjoying the time that I have to be able to work and take classes at Covenant to hopefully try and go back to Nursing school.
I'm looking forward to Ben being home for Christmas, when he left in August I never would have expected him home so soon. I will get to have him home for 15 days and then I won't see him until the return for good in July/August of this next year. After August life will have new changes, only I have no clue as to what those may be at this point in time...but for now, on to my paper. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season! Merry Christmas!
